Hi, I'm Brent.
I was first trained in life-saving techniques over two decades ago and have worked professionally in the emergency services for close to a decade both in Australia and overseas as well as regular volunteering. Alongside this work I also had the privilege, to provide professional water-safety as a personal lifeguard to celebrities and at surfing competitions throughout NSW. My work has also seen me train hundreds of professional lifeguards in the first aid and life-saving skills required for their demanding job.
Through my time in emergency services, I’ve come to truly understand the importance of being skilled and prepared to assist people when they’re in trouble. Every second matters. The practical experience gained through being first on the scene of several truly life-and-death situations brings unparalleled real-world perspective to my training programs. I believe that the training needs to be relevant, and that’s exactly what I strive to provide - skills that are immediately useful and impactful.
Along with my extensive first aid related experience, I also have decades of experience as a licensed tradesman and business owner. I understand the construction environment thourougly and run the construction-related courses with a level of specificity to meet industry requirements and be able to answer with clarity any questions related to this type of work environment.
A background in competitive sport and coaching has also lent itself to allowing me to answer any questions that you may have regarding the sports and coaching related courses we provide.
Being a father of four has taught me the importance of being prepared for any situation and I use that knowledge to offer practical, relatable guidance to those learning how to care for children in an emergency.
Whether you're in a professional, recreation, or family setting, my goal is to equip you with the skills and confidence you need for when it counts most.
Look forward to seeing you at one of our courses!
